Winemaking Fruits and Flowers
Fruits and flowers offer a fantastic way to help flavor your wines. Grape and Granary offers a variety of winemaking fruits and flowers including Elderberries, Rose Hips and Elderflowers. These fruits and flowers can really bring the most out of your wine’s flavor or color.
Elderberries make a good tasting wine that is similar to a Burgundy (or Pinot Noir) wine. Elderberries can also add color to a red wine. If you have a red wine that does not have a dark enough color, try adding 4 oz of elderberries. Rose hips make an interesting wine. You can find a number of recipes for rose hip wine online. Elderflowers are a great addition to Riesling and Gewurtztraminer wines. Add them during the primary fermentation.
