Tasting corks or 'T' corks are corks that are used in a wine bottle after the original wine cork has been removed from the bottle. Instead of trying to cram the original cork back in the wine bottle, the T cork replaces it and creates a seal once again. T corks can be made from all plastic or a combination of cork with a plastic top.
Assuming there is still wine left in the bottle, it is a good idea to spray the bottle with an inert gas into the airspace in the bottle to keep the remaining wine fresh. For this purpose, Grape and Granary sells 'Private Preserve' which is made up of co2, Nitrogen and Argon.
