Make sure you have the correct brush for the job. Need to clean a carboy? Make sure you use a carboy brush with its' bent 'L' shape that will allow you to clean the sides and neck of a carboy. Need to clean some siphon hose? Use the long handle of the siphon hose brush with its' correct diameter bristles to get all the crud out of those hoses. Need to clean some wine bottles, use a good quality wine bottle brush Again, we can supply you for the correct brush for the job.
