Winemaking Corkable Wine Bottles

The Grape and Granary sells a wide selection of corkable wine bottles. From the standard 750 ml wine bottle to the 375 ml 'tenth' bottle, the 165 ml 'sampler' bottle or the 1.5 liter magnum bottle, the Grape and Granary has you  covered.

Wines bottled in cork finish bottles and corked, tend to mature more quickly than wines bottled in a screw cap bottle but don't last as long until the wine goes 'over the hill'.

If you are using a cork finish wine bottle, you will need to use a straight wine cork and you will need a corking machine to insert them. Once the bottle is corked, you will want to stand the bottle upright for a few days to allow the cork to expand and create a good seal and then you will want to lay the bottle down on its' side to keep the cork moist and expanded so the cork does not shrink and leak. The most popular bottles we sell are the 750 ml green Bordeaux bottle and the 750 ml clear 'flint' Bordeaux style bottle.
