The Sulfur Burning Holder is a perforated stainless steel tube and is 1.388” OD X 4” long. It’s made from strong 304 stainless steel X 22Ga with a welded end plug. It’s suspended on an 24” Aluminum Rod and held with a solid rubber bung.

The sulfur disc or strip is placed in the tube where it burns. Dripping are contained within the tube.

Instructions: Rinse the empty barrel first with hot water followed with a rinse of cold water. Repeat if there is visible residue or tartrate crystals seen. Rotate barrel with bung hole down and let barrel completely dry. Burning sulphur in a wet barrel is not recommended.

Burning a Sulphur Disc: Slide each sulphur disc onto the metal disc holder by squeezing the 2 open ends and slipping them through the hole of the disc. Using safety gloves light the disc and place the sulphur disc and holder in the tube.

Burning a Sulphur Stick: Using safety gloves light the sulphur stick and place the lit sulphur stick into the tube.

Assemble the Sulphur Burning Tube with the lit sulphur disc/stick and lower it into the barrel. Ensure the bung is loosely inserted in the barrel’s bung hole as this will allow some of the gases to escape and provide efficient burning of the sulphur. The process should take no more than 5 minutes unless the oxygen in the barrel needs more time to fully deplete. Remove assembly and insert a solid bung (not included). Store the barrel but, repeat the process every 5 or 6 weeks.

Warning the Sulphur Burning Tube gets very hot and can cause injury. Caution must be taken when using them. Use safety gloves and allow the tube to fully cool before handling.
