Grape and Granary's all-grain Northern German Alt beer kit. This beer is fairly bitter yet balanced by a smooth sweet malt character.
The recipe uses German Pilsner malt, German Munich malt, carafa and caramunich. We recommend Wyeast #1007 for autenticity. Makes 5 US gallons. Includes all malt, hops, yeast, Whirlfloc and priming sugar. Recipe specifics are: SG 1.056, Color is about 15 SRM and IBU's are 45.
