All grain Munich Helles beer brewing kit. Ingredients include German Pilsner malt, German Munich malt and German Melanoidin malt. Munich Helles is a lager style beer that is a showcase for Pilsner malt. Helles is a malt-accentuated beer that is not overly sweet, but rather focuses on malt flavor with underlying hop bitterness for balance.
Recipe specifics are SG 1.053, SRM is 4.4 and IBU's are 23. Commercial examples inlude Weihenstephaner Original, Hacker-Pschorr Munchner Gold, Mahr's Hell, Paulaner Premium Lager, Spaten Premium Lager and Stoudt's gold lager. Makes 5 US gallons.
