India Pale Ale- G & G

Our India Pale Ale (English version) is a hoppy, moderately strong pale ale that features characteristics consistent with the use of English malt, hops and yeast. It has less hop character and a more pronounced malt flavor than American versions. Galena hops are used for bitterness and East Kent Goldings are used for flavor and aroma additions. Commercial examples include Freeminer Trafalgar IPA, Fuller's IPA, Samuel Smith's India Ale, Burton Bridge Empire IPA, Middle Ages ImPailed Ale, Goose Island IPA and Brooklyn East India Pale Ale.

The recipe incorporates over seven pounds of dry malt, steeping grains, steeping sock, pellet hops, safale s-04 dry yeast, priming sugar, Whirlfloc tablet, and instructions. It require a 45 minute boil and makes 5 US gallons. If you desire to use liquid yeast we recommend Wyeast #1028. Anticipated SG 1.067, SRM 10, IBU 59, and 6.7% AVB.
