Direct from the White House kitchen this Presidential beer recipe uses general amounts of crystal, munich, chocolate and black malts along with honey to produce a full-bodied flavorful porter. It is a A warm, toasty, nutty ale with a malty balance and finish.
The kit includes malt syrup, steeping grains, honey, steeping socks, pellet hops for bittering, dry yeast, priming sugar, Whirlfloc tablet, and instructions. It requires a 35-45 minute boil. Makes 5 US gallons. If you desire to use liquid yeast we recommend Wyeast #1084 Ale. Statistics are Est OG 1.048, SRM 30, IBU'S 28. Potential Alcohol 4.8 ABV.
