Description
Our German Helles Bock/Maibock has nine pounds of toasted malt extract along with toasted and melanoidin malts to produce a light colored, toasty, malty tasting Bock style beer. An excellent spring (Mia in German) time beer style. Commercial examples are Ayinger Maibock, Einbecker Mai-Urbock, Hofbräu Maibock, Victory St. Boisterous and Gordon Biersch Blonde Bock.
The kit includes malt syrup, steeping grains, steeping sock, pellet hops, dry yeast, priming sugar, Whirlfoc tablet, and instructions. It requires a 35-45 minute boil. Makes 5 US gallons. Statistics are Est OG 1.074, Est SRM 7.3, Est IBU'S 33. Potential Alcohol 7.4 ABV.
