A medium bodied German pilsner with a little light crystal malt for color and head retention. German nobel hops are used for bittering, flavoring and aroma to impart a spicy floral hop character. Very similar to Samuel Adams Boston Lager.
The kit includes malt syrup, steeping grains, steeping sock, pellet hops, dry yeast, priming sugar, Whirlfloc tablets, and instructions. It require a 35-45 minute boil. Makes 5 US gallons. If you prefer to use a liquid yeast we recommend Wyeast #2124, #2206, #1056 or #1272 Ale. Statistics are Est OG 1.049, Est SRM 8, Est IBU'S 38. Potential Alcohol 4.9 ABV.
