Our dry Irish Stout has flavors and aromas of roasted barley malt with no hop aroma. There is one bittering addition of Northern Brewer hops at the beginning of the boil. Flaked barley adds to the mouthfeel and body. The head pours a rich dark tan to brown color. Full bodied and full of roasted flavor.

Kit includes 6.6 lbs of malt syrup, flaked barley, steeping grains, steeping socks, pellet hops, priming sugar, Safale s-04 dry yeast, Whirlfloc Tablet, and instructions. This beer won a bronze certificate at a AHA Competition.

Commercial examples are Guinness Stout and Three Floyd's Black Sun Stout. It requires a 45 minute boil and makes 5 US gallons. If you desire to use liquid yeast we recommend Wyeast #1084. Anticipated SG 1.050, SRM 39, IBU 40, and 5.0% ABV.
