Our German style Dopplebock is dark, malty, toasty lager with lots of body, palate fullness, malt and flavor. We use a combination of Munich malt extract along toasted and melanoidin malts to build the complex malt character. This is a full flavored German style celebration beer. Commercial examples are Paulaner Salvator, Ayinger Celebrator and Samuel Adams Double Bock.
The kit includes malt Munich malt syrup, steeping grains, steeping socks, German pellet hops, dry yeast, priming sugar, Whirlfloc tablet, and instuctions. It requires a 35-45 minute boil. Kit makes 5 US gallons. Statistics are Est OG 1.076, Est SRM 15, Est IBU'S 18 Potential Alcohol 7.6 ABV.
