All grain Belgian Triple. Originally popularized by the Trappist monastery at Westmalle. Strongly resembles a Strong Golden Ale but slightly darker and somewhat fuller-bodied. The recipe consists of Pilsner, Aromatic malt and dextrose. Recipe specifics are SG 1.083, IBU's 29 and color about 5.2 SRM. Ships with Safbrew S-33. We recommend Wyeast #1214 or 3787xl as alternatives.
