Our Belgian Pale Ale recipe produces a beer similar to Avery Karma, Eisenbahn Pale Ale and Ommegang Rare Vos. We use over 6 lbs of pilsner malt extract, Caramunich (tm) and toasted malts for the fermentables. Hops include Willamette and East Kent Goldings.
The kit includes malt syrup and dry malt extract, steeping grains, steeping sock, pellets hops, Belgian dry yeast (Safbrew S-33), primimg sugar, Whirlfoc tablet, and instructions. It requires a 35-45 minute boil. Makes 5 US gallons. If you desire to use liquid yeast we recommed Wyeast #3522 Belgian Ardennes for the most authentic example. Statistics are Est OG 1.056, Est SRM 9, Est IBU'S 30. Potential Alcohol 5.6 ABV.
