         The Grape and Granary B-36 - Beer Kit Recipe

                                                            Beer Style: Canadian Ale

Descriptions and Comments: golden color, light body, crisp flavor of malt and hops- a very refreshing beer. Similar to Molson Golden and Molson Ale

Beer Kit: M&F Canadian Ale Kit

Add'l malt extract syrup: None

Add'l dry malt extract: 1 LB Muntons X-Lite Dry Malt

Add'l adjuncts: 1 LB Rice Syrup Solids

Add'l bittering/flavor hops: 1/4 OZ SAAZ

Water salts: None (Soft Water)

* The above ingredients should be boiled together in a couple of gallons of good tasting dechlorinated water for 20 minutes

Finishing Hops: 3/4 OZ SAAZ

*Add finishing/aroma hops 2-5 minutes before end of boil

*Cool wort in the boiling kettle to 120-130 deg F..Pour into fermenter and top up to 5 gallons with cold dechlorinated water. pitch yeast when wort temp is at or below 75 deg F..

Yeast Strain: 10 g of high quality dry ale yeast or #1056 or #1272 wyeast

Fermentation temp: 60-70 deg f

Primary fermentation time: 3-5 days

Secondary fermentation time: 5-7 DAYS

Priming: 7/8 cup corn sugar or 1 1/4 cups dry malt extract
